In 2001, a grant from the Charity Guild initiated the north Fulton Lekotek satellite located in Alpharetta. Subsequent grants have made it possible for additional children to be seen at this site and nearly 200 families have benefited. Every day, Lekotek facilitates opportunities for children to use adapted toys, educational materials, computer devices and most recently iPads with applications designed to meet the needs of children with disabilities. With these tools, children with physical and cognitive disabilities are attaining skills otherwise unattainable. With simply their voice, blink of an eye or the slightest movement of their head the cursor can be moved and the child can use a computer. The computer with appropriate software also allows children to communicate - often for the first time. Without the generous support of the Charity Guild, this would not be possible.
CCS Charity Guild has been a tremendous asset for Children's Restoration Network. Because of the Charity Guild, young, homeless adults have attended college, thousands of homeless youths have received new book bags filled with school supplies, and hundreds of homeless children have a mentor to help them not only with tough academic problems, but also with difficult life problems. We hope the Charity Guild will Partner with CRN for many, many years to come.
Country Club of the South Charity Guild has been an extremely important partner to CURE Childhood Cancer since 2003. Through the more than $200,000 the Charity Guild has donated to CURE’s Family Emergency Fund, CURE has been able to provide crucial financial assistance to families of children with cancer.
CURE’s Family Emergency Fund has been instrumental in assisting many families with the unexpected expenses related to having their child start treatment. The fund has been helpful in providing financial assistance with rent, electric, gas and water bills when primary caregivers have had to take time off work and have a decrease in their income.
CURE is very grateful to the Charity Guild for the generous and consistent support. The families CURE serves depend on us for help when they have nowhere else to turn. The Charity Guild’s year in, year out support has allowed us to meet the needs of these hurting families.
“We did a victory dance the evening Jessie stood by our back door and signed, ‘I want to GO HOME.” Yes, our daughter, challenged daily by autism, had found her own place…her home…her life! With help from the Country Club of the South Charity Guild, UPS and others, Jessie participates in one of the best Day Service programs in the State and she enjoys it immensely! We are proud to be donors and proud that others recognize the value that enAble adds to the lives of those they serve.”

The long standing partnership and financial support from The Country Club of the South Charity Guild has been a lifeline in allowing North Fulton Community Charities to support our neighbors in need. For many years, you have volunteered your time and collected donations to support the work of NFCC. Words cannot express our gratitude and appreciation as you recognize the need in our community and advocate on behalf of that need. Last year, NFCC supported over 5,000 families with food and financial assistance and provided financial assistance totaling $1,139,425. With the support from the Charity Guild, NFCC continues our mission to assist our neighbors in their time of financial hardship. Like our motto, “Together We Can Help,” you have made a difference in the lives of families.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and especially our families, we thank you.
