Giving Tables Designer Overview

The Country Club of the South (CCS) Charity Guild is hosting the first annual Giving Tables, a celebration of tablescapes and charitable giving on November 8th at Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC).

The Giving Tables will include approximately 35 professionally decorated tables in the beautiful ballroom, with at least 300 guests attending. Tables will be elaborately decorated by professional designers, event planners, florists and artists. This will be the perfect venue to showcase talented artisans who will sell their home décor, gifts, jewelry, gourmet foods, fashion, pet accessories.

James Farmer, our luncheon speaker, is a renowned designer, author and thought leader. His work has been featured in Southern Living, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Flower and more. He has published eight best-selling books. As a frequent speaker and guest on television, James’ Southern grace and warm personality light up any room. At the Giving Tables, James will create a wonderful arrangement and tablescape while entertaining guests with personal anecdotes and designing tips.

 

Designer Information

  • Giving Tables—CCS Charity Guild Tablescapes allows designers, artists, florists, party planners, boutique shop owners and other imaginative individuals and businesses to showcase their talent by designing an original table setting for 10 Giving Tables luncheon guests.
  • Participation is a wonderful opportunity to display your creativity while benefitting your local community.

  • Provides an opportunity to introduce yourself to the public and market your business.
    • Interaction with luncheon guests.
    • Recognition at the luncheon on the video screens.
    • Recognition in our Resource Booklet, the Charity Guild website and social media sites.

Commitments from Designers

  • Create a table setting that gives our guests creative ideas and inspiration for entertaining.
  • Set your table at Atlanta Athletic Club from 7:00AM – 10AM on Friday, November 8, 2019.
  • Have a representative at the table on Friday, November 8 from 10AM until noon.
  • Donate one item to our raffle/silent auction that best represents your brand.
    • Item should be received by Monday, October 21.

At the Event

  • Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC) will provide each designer with a 72 inch round table, white overlay, full length underlay, clear water goblets, 10 banquet chairs and silverware.
  • Designers may provide their own china or place setting, but these items must be removed by 11:45 on Friday to allow AAC to set the table with their plated china. Boxes for designer china may be stored under your table. Designers may cover the provided chairs or provide their own.

 

Tentative Schedule for the Event
Friday, November 8

7:30 – 10 AM   Designers set up their tablescapes
10 AM – 12 noon   Designers staff their tables—opportunity to interact with guests
11:50 AM   Designers remove personal china, flatware and crystal (box may be under table) to allow AAC service
12 Noon   Guests seated and luncheon is served
12:45 PM  
Program begins with CCS Charity Guild recognition and introductions
1 PM   James Farmer presentation
2 PM   Designer awards winners announced
2:30 PM   Once guests have left ballroom, tables may be dismantled.
4:00 PM   Designer tables cleared from the ballroom

 

 

Other Important Information

  • Any spacing requirements, electricity needs, etc. must be confirmed with the committee before the event so we can accommodate accordingly. We are unable to move table placement on the day of event since all printed material will be complete.
  • All table designs must be no bigger than 48 inches from top of table.
  • The CCS Charity Guild is not liable for any lost or misplaced items from the tables before, after or during the event.
